After months of competition and online voting, the selection of Amazing Town was finally settled, and 12 Amazing Towns and 10 Popular Towns were finally confirmed. Baohe Yao Township in Beihu District of Chenzhou City was named "Amazing Town".

Since the launch of "Amazing Town", a large-scale publicity campaign on agricultural development and rural construction sponsored by Hunan Radio and Television Station, 85 townships in 51 districts and counties of the province have registered to participate. The campaign began online voting on November 19, 2018, was recorded in January 2019 and broadcast on Hunan International Channel from March 21 to April 25.

Through the way of direct promotion by cities and counties and online voting, 28 townships participated in the TV competition. As of December 14, 2018, the total number of online voting reached 720,000 votes.

"Amazing Town" selection presented the beauty of the scenery, culture and construction of the township from a broader dimension, and showed Hunan's cultural heritage and tourism resources from more aspects, which played a great role in promoting the most delicious special products, scenic spots, delicacies and cultural tourism resources of the township, displaying the image of the township, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of the industry.

Through 6 TV competitions, led by the principal leaders of the districts and counties, 12 amazing towns and 10 popular towns were finally confirmed by displaying the "delicious food, beautiful scenery, beautiful products" of the townships.
