Recently, Yongxing County won the second place in the evaluation of oil-producing counties in the province from 2019 to 2020, and was once again appraised as a major tea oil county in the province. The project will bring 33.2 million yuan of central funds to the development of tea oil industry in Yongxing County, greatly promote the adjustment of the industrial structure, promote the development of tea oil processing, transportation, agricultural and other industries, solve the employment of rural idle personnel, and promote the poverty-stricken people to get rid of poverty and become rich.

In recent years, Yongxing County has made full use of forest land resources such as barren hilly areas, low hills and slopes, focusing on the new construction of high-yield tea oil forest, transformation of low-yield tea oil forest, young forest tending and brand building, and gradually established a high-yield tea oil industry development mechanism based on resource cultivation, driven by scientific and technological innovation and led by enterprises.

Tea oil industry has become one of the pillar industries of rural economy in Yongxing County. Up to now, the area of tea oil forest in Yongxing County has reached 645,600 mu, with an annual output of 7,600 tons of tea oil, and the comprehensive output value of tea oil industry has reached nearly 900 million yuan. It was estimated that by 2020, the area of tea oil forest in the county will reach 661,600 mu, the output of oil-tea camellia seed will reach more than 40,000 tons (more than 8,400 tons of tea oil), and the total output value of tea oil industry will reach more than 1 billion yuan.
