2019-06-10

Recently, the public welfare activities of caring for children with hematological diseases were launched jointly by Chenzhou Charity Federation. Chenzhou Women's Federation, benevolent enterprises and volunteer associations.

It was understood that there are as many as 100 cases of primary childhood leukemia in our city every year. Chenzhou City is also a region with high incidence of thalassemia in children. Children's leukemia and thalassemia are treatable diseases, but the cost of treatment is very expensive. The cost of treatment for each case needs 250,000 to 300,000 yuan. If the cost of stem cell transplantation is as high as 500,000 yuan, it makes ordinary families, especially poor families in rural areas, unable to afford it.

The public welfare activities aimed to arouse public concern and care for children with hematological diseases and poor patients, to devote love, raise medical charity funds for children with leukemia, poverty and other hematological diseases, and help them overcome difficulties.

At the event site, benevolent entrepreneurs, volunteers and social caring people made voluntary donations on the spot to dedicate their love. Among them, three benevolent enterprises contributed 500,000 yuan to the project, and on-site donation boxes raised 5428.6 yuan in cash. In addition, Tencent Public Welfare also launched online fund-raising projects.

Pan Zhikun, Vice President of the Municipal CPPCC, Fan Zhongda, President of the Chenzhou Charity Association, and Yi Peikang, former President, participated in the activities.
