Recently, at the invitation of the Jiusan Society Hydropower Branch, the Party Branch of Chenzhou Hydropower Design Institute, combined the theme party building activities with the activities of "Attention to the water environment of Dongjiang Lake", together with more than 20 members of the Jiusan Society Hydropower Branch, and went to the Dongjiang Lake Reservoir Area of Zixing City for study and investigation. The theme of this activities was to pay attention to the present situation of water environment in Dongjiang Lake and fully expand the design ideas and improve the design level of technicians through studying and investigating Dongjiang Reservoir, Dam, Power Plant and Dongjiang Water Diversion Project Water Treatment Plant, while carrying out the education of water environment protection for the Party member.

Dongjiang Lake is not only an important source of drinking water in Chenzhou area, but also an important point to improve the quality and efficiency of Chenzhou's development, with far-reaching significance for the future economic and social development of Chenzhou. As water conservancy workers, the participants in the activities admired the excellent water quality of the Dongjiang River and deeply felt that it is our duty and obligation to protect water resources and environment.

Dongjiang Reservoir, as a large-scale water conservancy and hydropower project with comprehensive utilization of flood control, shipping, urban industry and domestic water supply, is the main water conservancy hub project for flood control and drought relief in Leishui River Basin, which has played an important role in staggering peaks and replenishing water during many floods and droughts, and has made an important contribution to the Chenzhou safety. In the power plant dispatching workshop, the field staff introduced the operation mode of Dongjiang Hydropower Station and the distribution mode of hydraulic structures to the participants in the activity in detail, and answered the questions on the spot.

At the top of Dongjiang Reservoir, the staff also explained the difficulties in the construction of Dongjiang Dam, the historical evolution of the power station development and the process of expansion for the participants. All Party members present expressed that they would fully learn and carry forward the spirit of the older generation of water conservancy workers who "overcome difficulties and dare to take on responsibilities", actively devote themselves to the main battlefield of water reform and development in the new era, fulfill their duties and responsibilities, overcome difficulties, and strive to create extraordinary achievements in ordinary positions. Subsequently, participants also went to the construction site of Dongjiang Water Diversion Project Water Treatment Plant for observation and study.
