Investigation Group on Protection & Utilization of Guiyang Revolutionary Cultural Relics

Recently, Cao Yunshan, Chairman of Hunan Red Memory Culture Foundation, and his delegation visited Guiyang County to investigate the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics.

The investigation team made in-depth field investigation to the Revolutionary Site of Wang Shulan, Former Residence of Xu Xun and the Site of the Soviet Government in the Hexie Village, and understand in detail the protection, development and utilization of Guiyang's revolutionary cultural relics.

In recent years, Guiyang County has always adhered to the working principle of "giving priority to protection, rescue first, rational utilization and strengthening management", taken many measures to strengthen the protection, utilization, census, collection, research and propaganda of revolutionary cultural relics. At present, there are 146 immovable cultural relics, including 8 red revolutionary cultural relics protection units. On March 6, 2019, Guiyang County was selected as the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces.

The investigation group affirmed the work of protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics in Guiyang County, and hoped that the Guiyang County Committee and the County Government would continue to pay attention to the protection and utilization work of revolutionary cultural relics; should further develop the connotative value and give full play to the role of propaganda and education of revolutionary cultural relics, on the basis of making full use of the existing resources of revolutionary cultural relics; should tell good stories about revolutionary cultural relics, constantly improve the ability of inheritance, promote the combination of protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics with poverty alleviation and rural rejuvenation, and let revolutionary cultural relics better drive Guiyang's economic and social development.
