On July 2, the opening ceremony of the large-scale documentary "Memory of Guiyang" was held in Guiyang County, which will present a gift to the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China through video recording of Guiyang's politics, economy, history, humanities, geography and people's livelihood.

"Memory of Guiyang" is written by Pan Changli, a national first-level playwright, and produced by Guiyang County Radio and TV Station. The documentary is divided into eight episodes, and is scheduled to be filmed in early August, edited and packaged in mid-September, and recommended to major mainstream media during National Day.

Guiyang County has a history and culture of more than two thousand years. Since the establishment of prefecture in the Han Dynasty, Guiyang has experienced 9 administrative settings. There are thousands of records in official history books and local chronicles, which can be regarded as the model of counties in the world.

At the same time, Tongmuling Mine and Metallurgical Site, one of the top ten archaeological discoveries in China, is located in Guiyang County. The world intangible cultural heritage Hunan Kunqu Opera originated in Guiyang. The shining business cards such as "Millennium Ancient County, Millennium Mining Capital, Millennium Opera, Millennium Residence" are worthy of the name.

In order to pay tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, further enhance cultural self-confidence, and leave the people of Guiyang with concrete local memories, the large-scale documentary "Memory of Guiyang" was born at the right moment.
