The Standing Committee of the CPPCC organized some members of the CPPCC to visit Suxian District, Beihu District, Zixing City, Yizhang County, Rucheng County, Linwu County and other places, and carry out special inspections on the construction of tourism projects in our city. Li Juan, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, participated in the activities.

Members were divided into two groups and visited 22 project sites in 2 districts and 4 counties. In 2 days, the average daily distance was nearly 200 kilometers. Through visiting the scene, listening to reports and asking about the situation, the members inspected the homestays, red tourism, sports tourism, rural tourism, leisure tourism, agriculture and tourism integration and some new tourism projects. During the period, the members also inspected some of the tourism projects under construction in our city in 2019, inquired about the progress of the projects, understood in detail the highlights, characteristics and successful experiences in the construction of tourism projects, and analyzed the shortcomings and difficulties in the construction.

In recent years, our city has insisted on the integration, innovation and transformation of culture and tourism, and accelerated the construction of key projects in the city's cultural tourism industry. In 2019, there were 10 key dispatched cultural tourism projects in our city, with a total planned investment of 4.34 billion yuan in the year. Among them, the key construction projects with better completion on schedule included Mangshan National 5A Scenic Area Project, Changlu International Tourism Resort Project, Linwu Gems and Jades Cultural Industrial Park Project, Rucheng Chang'an Eco-city Tourism Cultural Industrial Park Project, etc.

On how to further promote the construction of tourism projects in our city, the members said that we should promote the integration of tourism industry with Chenzhou culture and ecology, effectively accelerate the progress of construction projects under construction, and create local superior industries with unique Chenzhou characteristics; should develop tourism in line with the principles of sustainable development and adapting measures to local conditions, strengthen the consolidation and improvement of existing tourism projects, and constantly improve the quality and service of tourism; should innovate ideas, vigorously enhance the quality of scenic spots, rely on existing resources, seize the opportunities for tourism development, connect various scenic spots in series, promote the formation of scenic spots in a continuous line, and create high-quality tourism routes to promote the development of tourism industry and increase residents' income.
