Chenzhou City is the "Capital of Mineral Crystals" and "Hometown of Non-ferrous Metals in China". On July 2, the launching ceremony of editing and publishing project of "A Concise Dictionary of Ornamental Stones" was held in our city.

The editing and publishing project of "A Concise Dictionary of Ornamental Stones" is a secondary project of the national geological survey results and planning, which is edited and published by China Ornamental Stone Association. The representative experts from the national ornamental stone circle were invited to gather in Chenzhou to discuss the pre-selected entries of "A Concise Dictionary of Ornamental Stones", collect new stone entries from different places, and arrange the compilation tasks and progress. Compiling and publishing "A Concise Dictionary of Ornamental Stones" is an urgent need to promote geological culture and build an ornamental stone system, and is also an important measure to promote and popularize the culture of ornamental stones scientifically.
