Chenzhou Fire Fighting Builds Professional Water Rescue Team

Recently, 52 firefighters of Chenzhou Fire Brigade were officially awarded the professional qualification certificate of swimming lifeguard (Grade 5) issued by the State Sports Administration, which marked that the Chenzhou Fire Brigade has taken a solid step in accelerating the function transformation of the team and building the professional team of water rescue.

Since this year, in order to actively adapt to the functional orientation of the "main force and national team" of fire rescue team, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the team, effectively enhance the team's combat capability in water rescue, the municipal fire brigade has planned and positively deployed to train the backbone of water rescue specialty, and has selected 52 key swimmers and water-savvy people from all over the city to carry out rescue training and drills in order to speed up the formation of combat effectiveness. In early May, some water rescue experts were invited to conduct a week-long closed training for the backbone forces, and systematically teach lifeguard theory, 25-second speed swimming, 20-meter diving and shore escape scoring. At the beginning of June, they organized a water rescue pull drill in Chenjiang River, and conducted 8 subjects including water entry rescue, thrower use and crossing system construction. In mid-July, they went to Hengdong County of Hengyang City to reinforce flood relief and rescue 45 people.

52 commanders who obtained professional skills appraisal provided talents and technical support for the construction of the city's fire rescue professional team. At the next stage, the city's fire detachment will continue to promote the certificated induction system, keep a close eye on the key and difficult technical tactics of water rescue, strengthen the training of all elements and the whole process, continue to strengthen the water rescue professional team building, focus on improving the team's rescue capacity in the waters, and constantly improve the professional level of water rescue.
