First Party History & National History Education Base of Care for the Next Generation Opens in Rucheng County

On August 17, the city's first national education base of care for the next generation of party history and national history was officially unveiled at the special exhibition hall of "warmth of half a quilt" in Shazhou Village, Rucheng County.

 

In October 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping told the story of "half a quilt" at the Congress to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Red Army. Shazhou Village, a civilized Yao nationality township in Rucheng County, was well-known throughout the country. With the help of the relevant departments of the central, provincial and municipal governments, Shazhou Village vigorously developed the red cultural tourism. In June this year, the "warmth of half a quilt" special exhibition hall in the village was selected as the third batch of national education bases of care for the next generation of party history and national history, and became the first base in our city to be selected.

 

After the opening of the base, they will actively carry out educational activities to promote the healthy growth of adolescents with the main content of "party history and national history", further develop the connotation of red culture, inherit red genes, tell good red stories, better guide and educate the majority of adolescents to listen to the Party and follow the Party, and strive to be a qualified builder and successor of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The municipal and county care for the next generation in our city will strengthen their guidance to the base and build the base as a demonstration base for the party history and national history education.

 

Chen Jiangqi, Director of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, Huang Xiaoliang, Secretary-General of the Provincial Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, Chen She-zhao, Executive Director of the Municipal Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee and former Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, attended the opening event.
