Recently, Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City, held a discussion and exchange with Deng Lijia, Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment on accelerating the construction of an innovative demonstration zone on the national sustainable development agenda, jointly promoting the work of ecological environment protection in Chenzhou and serving high-quality development.

During the symposium, Deng Lijia fully affirmed the ecological environment protection work and achievements of our city in recent years. He hoped that Chenzhou would follow Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought as the fundamental principle, practice the concept of ecological priority and green development, seize the opportunity of the national sustainable development agenda, innovate the construction of demonstration zones, and strive to realize the transformation of economic development and find out a new way of sustainable utilization and green development of water resources. The Provincial Department of Ecological and Environment will give full support to the construction of ecological environment protection and demonstration zones in Chenzhou, jointly promote the coordinated progress of ecological civilization construction and economic development transformation, and serve the high-quality development of the whole province. At the same time, it was hoped that Chenzhou will strengthen the efforts to rectify outstanding ecological environment problems and take effective measures to solve the outstanding ecological environment problems, such as heavy metals and hazardous waste. The Provincial Department of Ecological Environment will further strengthen guidance and services to help Chenzhou complete the task of rectification on schedule.
