On the morning of September 19, Chenzhou Customs held a renaming and unveiling ceremony. The Changsha Customs Office in Chenzhou formally changed its name to Chenzhou Customs, opening a new journey of supervision service. Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Chenzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor, Wang Xinwu, Deputy Director of Changsha Customs and member of the Party group, attended the ceremony and unveiled for Chenzhou Customs.

The document on the establishment of Chenzhou Customs of the People's Republic of China was read out at the ceremony. According to the Notice of the General Administration of Customs on the Regulations of Changsha Customs Function Allocation, Institutions and Staffing, the "Chenzhou Customs of the People's Republic of China" was established with the institutional specifications at the appropriate level and under the direct leadership of Changsha Customs.
