Recently, a symposium on the investigation and inspection of major cultural and tourism projects by deputies to the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and members of the CPPCC was held in Yizhang County. Chen Xianchun, Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, presided over the meeting.
The meeting heard the work of the Provincial Culture and Tourism Department on the proposals of deputies to the Provincial People's Congress and members of the CPPCC in 2019. In 2019, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism received 167 proposals from deputies to the Provincial People's Congress and members of the CPPCC, including 86 proposals from deputies and 81 proposals from members. Up to now, except for 4 key proposals, all other proposals have been completed, with 100 percent communication rate, 100 percent on time completion rate and 100 percent meeting rate of key proposals.
The meeting also heard a report on the construction of key cultural and tourism projects in Chenzhou and Wuzhi Peak Project in Mangshan. From January to August, Chenzhou City received 51.2109 million tourists, ranking second in the province, with a total tourism revenue of 47.453 billion yuan, ranking third in the province. In 2019, 10 key dispatched cultural tourism industry projects in Chenzhou were implemented steadily, and project services were followed up in an orderly manner. Mangshan Wuzhi Peak Project Phase II planning and overall quality improvement and transformation projects are in progress.
The deputies to the Provincial People's Congress and members of the CPPCC exchanged views and made speeches on the construction of major cultural and tourism projects.
