On the morning of September 4, the first of a series of press conferences to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), was held in the Press Release Hall of the Municipal Government.

This year is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. These 70 years have witnessed magnificent, passionate, creative and ever-changing changes; have brought great changes to China and amazed the world; have enabled the Chinese nation to make great strides to catch up with the trend of the times and usher in the bright prospect of national rejuvenation; has made Chenzhou City great achievements in economic and social development and Party building.

Over the past 70 years, under the correct leadership of successive Party committees and governments in our city, the vast majority of cadres and masses in the city have unified their thoughts, strengthened their confidence and moved forward. They have written magnificent epics of economic and social development with their hands, and have made great progress in various undertakings. In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and vigorously publicize the remarkable achievements of Chenzhou's economic and social development in the past 70 years, from September 4 to late September, our city will organize 12 press conferences of the municipal Party committee, the municipal government and 11 counties (cities and districts) to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of PRC. The spokesperson of the municipal government and municipal Party committee and the principal leaders of the Party and government of 11 counties (cities and districts) will be invited to introduce the economic and social development of the whole city and counties (cities and districts) and the Party's construction in the past 70 years.

At the first press conference, Ouyang Feng, the Standing Committee of the Municipal Committee, the Secretary-General of the Municipal Committee and the spokesman of the Municipal Committee, comprehensively introduced the economic and social development of our city and the construction of the Party in the past 70 years. The press conference attracted the participation of mainstream media in China, provinces and municipalities such as People's Net, Xinhua Net, Zhongxin Net, Ta Kung Pao, Hong Kong Business Daily, Hunan Daily, Red Net, Chenzhou Daily and Chenzhou TV Station.

Huang Zesheng, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, spokesman of the Municipal Government, and the principal leaders of the Organizational Department of the Municipal Committee, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Eco-environment Bureau and the Municipal Office for Poverty Alleviation attended the conference and answered questions from reporters.
