On October 11, the Chenzhou Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Co., Ltd. Yi Pengfei, Secretary of the Chenzhou Municipal Committee and Meng Qingqiang , Chairman of the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. According to the Agreement, the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Co., Ltd. and Chenzhou Municipal Government reached consensus on five aspects: strengthening the construction of a strong smart main grid, speeding up the construction of modern urban distribution network, actively promoting rural electrification, strengthening the construction of the ubiquitous Internet of Things, and creating a good business environment. The two sides agreed to invest in the construction of power grid in Chenzhou from 2019 to 2022, mainly for the expansion of Dongjiang Power Plant, the development of strong smart grid, the development of ubiquitous Internet of Things, the upgrading of rural power grid, and providing high-quality and efficient services. Chenzhou Municipal Government will give full support to the construction of "three types, two grids", increase policy support, optimize the environment of power grid construction, establish and improve the working mechanism and system, and establish a comprehensive strategic partnership.

In his speech, Yi Pengfei congratulated the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement, and thanked Hunan Electric Power Co., Ltd. of State Grid for its strong support in recent years in Chenzhou city's poverty alleviation, the transformation of power grids in poor villages, the construction of urban infrastructure and industrial projects.
