Jiazhailing Village has a history of more than 500 years. It is located in the alpine mountain area with an altitude of 800 meters. There are four distinct seasons, humid climate, big temperature difference between day and night, with a primitive ecological environment like a paradise. The villagers all know that they are rare and precious, and they remove weeds under and around the roots of trees every year.
Taxus chinensis is one of the world's recognized rare and endangered natural anti-cancer plants. It is an ancient tree species left behind by Quaternary glaciers, with a history of 2.5 million years on the earth. Due to the slow growth and poor regeneration ability of Taxus under natural conditions, there has not been a large-scale raw material forest base of Taxus in the world for a long time. In 1994, Taxus chinensis was designated as a first-class rare and endangered protected plant by China. At the same time, it was called "national treasure" by 42 countries with Taxus chinensis in the world. The United Nations also banned logging, which is a real "plant giant panda".
