The existing station buildings are generally old, with poor waiting conditions and simple bus facilities. In recent years, Chenzhou Citizens are increasingly calling for its transformation and expansion.

In the reconstruction plan, the total building area of the station building after reconstruction will be increased from 5500 square meters to 9000 square meters, including one additional floor of waiting room, 7.2 meters high each floor; the area of waiting room after reconstruction will be increased from 2300 square meters to 4300 square meters, and the number of waiting seats will be increased from 900 to 2100.
