Collecting Historical Documents & Books from the Public

In order to systematically collect, sort out and save Chenzhou documents and books, inherit and spread Chenzhou history and culture, the leading group of the city's cultural and historical work commissioned the city's cultural and historical research association to organize the compilation and publication of a large series of historical documents, Chenzhou Tongdian. In order to ensure the smooth development of the compilation and publication of Chenzhou Tongdian, and strive to achieve continuous generation without omission, they are now open to the public to collect Chenzhou documents and classics.

 

Chenzhou Tongdian compiled and published this time is divided into four categories: literature, local records, Jinshi slips and cultural heritage. It will collect, sort out and publish 200 kinds of historical figures in Chenzhou, and 200 kinds of modern and contemporary figures formed between the Qin and Han Dynasties and 1966.

Lei Xiaoda, President of the Municipal Literature and History Research Association and the Chief Editor of Chenzhou Tongdian, introduced to the reporter: "Chenzhou has a long history of more than 2200 years since it was founded in Qin Dynasty, leaving behind a lot of far-reaching and valuable documents, books, customs and local records and Jinshi slips. These documents and ancient books are our precious cultural heritage in Chenzhou. At the same time, they are also an important part of our traditional excellent culture. How to save, protect and publish these documents and ancient books is an extremely important thing in our cultural process."

At present, the data collection of Chenzhou Tongdian is mainly conducted by domestic and foreign collection institutions. In order to strive for continuous generation and no omission, the Municipal Culture and History Research Association also collects representative Chenzhou literature, classics and rare and good books from the public, and plans to complete the compilation and publication work in 2025.
