On November 21, the Investment Promotion Conference of the First Chenzhou Homestay Summit was held. Cai Jiacheng, former second level inspector of the Industrial Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and special researcher of the tourism research center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the meeting. Gao Aiguo, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and executive deputy leader of the coordination and promotion group for the economic development and construction of boutique homestays, presided over the promotion meeting.

At the promotion meeting, the development of Chenzhou homestay industry was recommended and the cooperation agreements of 6 projects were signed. Representatives of the homestays and investors exchanged views and experiences on the development of homestay.

In recent years, the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government have attached great importance to the development of cultural tourism industry, defined cultural tourism industry as one of the five major industries, formulated and issued a series of important documents, such as the "Three-year Action Plan of Chenzhou City to Speed up the Development of High-quality Tourist Homestay (2018-2020)", and given unprecedented support to the development of cultural tourism industry. Up to now, the city has built 4 homestay agglomeration areas, collecting nearly 200 homestays and nearly 2000 beds in total. From January to October this year, the city received 576,000 tourists and achieved a comprehensive income of about 320 million yuan. A "one core and multi-point" homestay development space layout has been initially constructed. The homestay industry is becoming a new highlight and a new growth pole for the economic development of Chenzhou's culture and tourism industry.
