Recently, Hunan Provincial People's Religious Committee issued the "Notice on naming the second batch of provincial national unity and progress education bases and the seventh batch of provincial national unity and progress demonstration units" ([2019] No. 53). Shazhou Village, Wenming Yao Township, Rucheng County was named as the provincial national unity and progress education base, becoming the first national unity and progress education base in Chenzhou City.

Shazhou Village of the county has given full play to the function of publicity and education, played a positive exemplary role in promoting national unity, strengthening national relations and constantly enriching the connotation of national unity and progress education, and become an important window for the county to display the image of civilization.

The establishment of national unity and progress is an important measure and effective carrier to promote the cause of national unity and progress. The report of the 19th National Congress of the CPC pointed out that we should hold high the banner of the great unity of the Chinese nation, guide and encourage the people of all ethnic groups to hold together like pomegranate seeds. The work of national unity and progress is a key work of the united front. The United Front Department of the County Party Committee should adhere to the guiding principle of Xi Jinping's new era socialism with Chinese characteristics and adhere to the general goal of "the Chinese nation, one heart and one mind, building the Chinese dream together" to promote the cause of national unity and progress in the new era, and constantly enrich the connotation of national unity and progress.
