On November 28, the unveiling ceremony of the first AI (artificial intelligence) maker center in Hunan Province of the 2019 "Youth Silicon Valley" project of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee was held in the No. 43rd Primary School. Hu Zhenmin, Executive Deputy Director, and Wang Xiaoqin, Deputy Director of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, unveiled the center. Zou Wenhui, Deputy Director of the Municipal Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech.

In 2018, the "Youth Silicon Valley" public welfare project of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee was officially implemented in our city. In the past two years, through strengthening the construction of "Youth Silicon Valley" maker classroom, the project schools in our city have achieved remarkable results, accumulated valuable experience and been affirmed by the project office of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee. In order to encourage the development of maker education activities in our city, the project office decided to donate a 1 million yuan "Youth Silicon Valley" artificial intelligence maker center for our city, which is the first maker center in the province. The center covers a building area of more than 300 square meters, including 4 different function maker classrooms, namely alpha artificial intelligence classroom, 3D printing classroom, creative workshop and UAV classroom, and a large gallery activity exhibition area.

In his speech, Zou Wenhui pointed out that the Municipal Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee and the education department should take the opportunity of the opening of the artificial intelligence maker center of the "Youth Silicon Valley" project, give full play to its functions and advantages, further grasp the planning, speed up the construction, strengthen the management and pay attention to the actual effect, and make every effort to make characteristics and achieve actual results, so as to contribute Chenzhou's strength to the cultivation of high-quality builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The departments at all levels should fully implement the important directive spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping on caring for the next generation work, further strengthen leadership and support for the care of the next generation, create better working conditions, promote care for the next generation and achieve better development.
