Recently, Chenzhou City held a film management meeting and 2018 rural and square (community) digital film public welfare screening work commendation meeting. At the meeting, 5 advanced units and several advanced individuals were commended. Zixing Film Company was awarded the advanced unit in screening work, and 3 projectionists including Li Wei, Chen Jiangwen and Tang Xuemei were awarded the advanced individuals. The outstanding projectionist Tang Xuemei also made typical speeches at the meeting.

In recent years, Zixing Film Company has insisted on spreading advanced science and culture technology, occupying the rural cultural position as the main target, constantly strengthening measures, actively responding to the call of new countryside, new film, new concept and new hope, strengthening the ideological understanding and construction of the film team, committing to the society, serving the society and the people. In 2018, 3305 films were screened in rural areas, 556 in squares, 144 in communities, and 230 in homes for the aged. 168 excellent films promoting socialist core values and patriotism education were watched in primary and secondary schools every semester. The annual completion rate was 110.3 percent and the screening coverage rate was 100 percent, over fulfilling the task. The project of "benefiting the people" of digital film public welfare screening has been implemented with high quality and quantity, and has been affirmed and praised by the masses of the people.
