On December 1, the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Areas issued an announcement that, as of November 30, 22356 batches of agricultural products had been sampled and monitored for quality and safety in our city this year, and the overall qualification rate of the city's main agricultural products such as fruits, vegetables, tea, livestock and poultry reached over 98 percent. More than 100 organic, green and agricultural products have been included in the traceability system of agricultural products. Citizens can know their "identity" by scanning the QR code of agricultural products.

In order to guide the majority of farmers and production enterprises to control the source of agricultural products, from January to November 30 this year, our city actively carried out the construction of agricultural product quality and safety, food safety publicity, quality and safety traceability system, and strengthened the foundation of quality agriculture, green agriculture and brand agriculture. The quality and safety level of agricultural products in the city continued to improve, and the supply of high-quality agricultural products in our city was sufficient. People can buy and eat with ease.

Up to now, Zixing City has successfully established a national agricultural product quality and safety county (city), Yizhang, Yongxing, Linwu, Jiahe, Rucheng, Zixing and other 6 counties (cities) have been rated as the national green food standardized raw material base counties, and Beihu, Suxian, Zixing, Yongxing, Rucheng have been identified as the provincial agricultural product quality and safety traceability system construction demonstration counties (cities, districts).

Since the beginning of this year, the city's agricultural and rural departments at all levels have also focused on strengthening the supervision of the quality and safety of agricultural products, adopted a combination of key (designated) inspections and special (random) checks, carried out rectification actions such as rural counterfeit and shoddy food, cracking down on fake agricultural materials, banning and restricting the use of high toxic pesticides, inspected more than 650 agricultural production and operation entities, more than 80 bases, collected 2.3 tons of fake agricultural materials and veterinary drugs.

The relevant person in charge of the quality and safety supervision section of the Municipal Agricultural and Rural Bureau said that during the New Year's Day and the Spring Festival in 2020, the Municipal Agricultural and Rural Department will jointly carry out the special supervision and inspection of the quality and safety of agricultural products with the market supervision and management, public security and other departments, so as to ensure the food safety of the general public.
