Recently, the author learned from the Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning that the construction of "green mine" in our city has made outstanding achievements. Up to now, the city has successfully established 19 national green mines, with the number of applications and successes ranking first among the 14 cities and prefectures in the province.

"Green Mine" refers to that in the process of mineral resources development, not only the scientific and orderly mining should be strictly implemented, but also the disturbance of the mining area and surrounding environment should be controlled within the scope of environmental control. Green mine construction is a complex system engineering, which represents the overall level of mining development and utilization, the potential of sustainable development, and the ability to maintain the balance of ecological environment. It focuses on the scientific, orderly and reasonable development and utilization of mine resources, and restores the pollution, geological disaster and ecological damage to the maximum extent.

Rich mineral resources once created huge wealth for Chenzhou, and the once extensive and disordered development also brought a lot of environmental problems. In recent years, the Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning has firmly shouldered the responsibility of the main force in the construction of ecological civilization, actively implemented the concept of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", and vigorously developed green mining industry.

In Hunan Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., Shizhuyuan National Mine Park and Shizhuyuan National Mine Park Museum have been successively built in the mining area; Guiyang Baoshan Nonferrous Metals Mining Co., Ltd. is once again famous for its "Baoshan Park" construction. They have been transformed from mines of traditional significance into "all-round" mining areas that can be used for sightseeing and scientific investigation, which is a miniature of green mine construction in our city. Chenzhou City is one of the 50 green mining development demonstration areas in China and the only green mining development demonstration area declared in the province. Up to now, 39 green mines have been declared to the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Department of Natural Resources of Hunan Province, 19 of which have been successfully established. It accounts for 28 percent of the 68 green mines in the province, and the number of applications and successes ranks first among the 14 cities and prefectures in the province.

 
In recent years, the city has comprehensively deepened the reform of green mine construction system and mechanism, established a green mine construction work system guided by the government, coordinated by departments, built by enterprises, evaluated by the third party and supervised by the society, improved the supporting incentive policy system, built a long-term mechanism for the development of green mines, encouraged and supported mine enterprises to carry out green mine construction, and compiled the "Green mining development demonstration area construction plan in Chenzhou".

Chenzhou green mine construction experience has also attracted domestic attention. At the end of October this year, the Department of Natural Resources of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and his party made a special trip to investigate the situation of mineral resources in Chenzhou City and visit the mines on the spot; on November 22, the Geological Management Office of Guangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau came to Chenzhou to investigate and learn the experience of green mine construction and comprehensive utilization of abandoned mines in our city. The guests who come to visit and study in Chenzhou are full of praise for the green mine construction in Chenzhou.
