Recently, the results of the "National Ecological and Cultural Village" selection activity in 2019 organized by China Ecological and Cultural Association were announced, and Liuhuawan Village of Sandu Town in Zixing City won the award. So far, Chenzhou City has four national ecological and cultural villages: Sanhe Village of Huatang Town in Beihu District, Tanwu Village of Daping Town in Rucheng County, Banliang Village of Gaoting Town in Yongxing County and Liuhuawan Village of Sandu Town in Zixing City.

The selection activity of "National Ecological and Cultural Village" was organized by China Ecological and Cultural Association. Since 2009, it has been carried out once a year, aiming to "promote ecological culture, advocate green life and build ecological civilization". There were 132 villages selected in the whole country and 6 villages in Hunan Province. Liuhuawan Village of Sandu Town in Zixing City has become the only village selected successfully in Chenzhou City.

Liuhuawan Village is located in the south of Sandu Town, Zixing City, with a forest coverage rate of 71.7 percent. It is a new rural construction demonstration village focusing on tourism.

In recent years, focusing on the goal of "striving for a new rural demonstration village at the provincial level and building the most livable and leisure agricultural sightseeing village", Liuhuawan Village has taken "the combination of agriculture and tourism and the integration of landscape and farming" as its development thinking, and based on the characteristics of ancient villages to promote the construction of beautiful villages. The rural appearance has been significantly improved, realizing the "beauty of layout, life, environment, fashion and industry".

Starting from ecological agriculture and characteristic agriculture, Liuhuawan Village has taken the road of "green agriculture, sightseeing agriculture and ecological agriculture". The village continued to expand the agricultural industry, planted more than 200 mu of ornamental lotus, and promote 1200 mu of ecological breeding models such as "Lotus-fish" and "Lotus-shrimp"; cooperated with Dongjiang Lake Tourism Company to create a natural landscape represented by garden, orchard, rural scenery, lake light and water color, and ancient village charm; introduced "Tianyang Sightseeing Park" to plant more than 200 mu of grapes and 150 mu of peony, and develop grape picking and peony flower appreciation activities; introduced "Hongfeng sweet bamboo shoots" and planted more than 2200 mu of sweet bamboo shoots, effectively promoting local industrial economic development and labor employment.

In 2017 and 2018, it won the honors of Chenzhou "beautiful village" demonstration village and Chenzhou "health village". It successfully established the national 3A level scenic spot in December 2016, the "two types" demonstration scenic spot in Chenzhou City in September 2017, and the "beautiful countryside" in Hunan Province in January 2019.
