Recently, the city's ten billion citrus industry development forum was held in Linwu County. Zou Wenhui, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Deputy Mayor Chen Rongwei presided over the meeting. Li Hao, Secretary of the County Party Committee, delivered a speech at the meeting. At the meeting, the main achievements, characteristics, highlights and experience of the citrus industry in 2019 were summarized, the main problems were analyzed, the solutions were put forward, the "Citrus Industry Planning of Chenzhou City (2020-2029) (Draft for comments)" was discussed, and the development of the next 10 billion citrus industry was studied and deployed. At the meeting, Deng Ziniu, Li Dazhi and other experts from Hunan Agricultural University explained in detail the planning of Chenzhou citrus industry in terms of natural resources and socio-economic situation, citrus industry foundation, market analysis and product development; Yin Hailian reported the development of Linwu grapefruit industry; the participants put forward their opinions and suggestions on the development of citrus industry from the perspective of reality.

Zou Wenhui stressed that we should comprehensively improve the ability and level of promoting the development of agricultural industry in accordance with the new requirements of the development of agricultural industry in the new era; should base on the law of agricultural industry development, make full use of the regional advantages of the region, effectively play the role of the government, organically link up and cooperate with the market, and strive to solve the shortcomings and problems existing in the development of agricultural industry; should vigorously create a good business environment, create investment depression, strive to reduce costs and increase efficiency for enterprises, form the largest advantage in the region, and promote the high-quality development of agriculture; should take substantive measures to promote and protect agricultural brands, so as to make Chenzhou citrus brand truly innovative, famous and strong; should adhere to the principle of "characteristic and persistence", build county economy and agricultural industry with characteristics, adhere to the correct direction and requirements, maintain the determination of planning and work, and persist in making Chenzhou citrus industry better, stronger and bigger.

At the meeting, Li Hao welcomed the presence of leaders and guests, and thanked them for their concern, support and help in Linwu's economic and social development. Li Hao pointed out that the purpose of this forum is to explore the scientific, large-scale and intensive development of the citrus industry, so as to truly achieve the goal of reasonable development layout, complete varieties, quality improvement and benefit doubling of the citrus industry. It was hoped that this forum could strengthen communication and exchange, offer suggestions and promote practical cooperation, and play a positive role in promoting the development of 10 billion citrus industry and the high-quality economic and social development of the city.

Before the meeting, the participants visited the Citrus Industrial Park of Linwu Agricultural Products Processing Park, the virus-free nursery stock breeding base of Linwu grapefruit, the Linwu grapefruit industry and rural tourism demonstration base of Wolong Valley, the characteristic industrial base of "school-county cooperation" of Linwu grapefruit (Jinlan Fruit Company), etc.
