Recently, the reporter learned from the Zixing Municipal Patriotic Sanitation Office that the results of 2018 national health city evaluation were published, and Zixing City was awarded the title of "The fastest growing city in health city construction in 2018". A total of 10 cities across the country have won this award, and Zixing City is the only county-level city in Hunan Province on the list.

Healthy city is to improve the natural environment, social environment and health services, comprehensively popularize healthy lifestyle, meet the health needs of residents, and realize the coordinated development of urban construction and human health through the improvement of urban planning, construction and management. In 2019, according to the national health city evaluation index system (2018 Edition), the National Patriotic Sanitation Office carried out evaluation on 314 national health city organizations. After carefully sorting out a large number of data, repeatedly communicating and checking with relevant provinces and cities, and verifying with relevant departments, all data confirmation work was completed by the end of October 2019, data analysis was completed in November, and finally an evaluation report was formed.

In recent years, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government of Zixing City have adhered to the guidance of the government and problems, promoted the construction of pilot cell projects in healthy cities, and created a good atmosphere for the construction of pilot healthy cities; adhered to the health focus, created the characteristics of the pilot work of healthy city construction, closely focused on the outstanding problems affecting the health of the masses, and vigorously implemented the health publicity, health cells and health service projects to significantly improve the public health literacy, the level of healthy city construction, and the health indicators.

In the national health city evaluation, Zixing's heavy and above pollution days (days), the standard rate of drinking water quality, the standard rate of centralized drinking water source safety assurance, the harmless treatment rate of domestic waste, the maternal mortality rate (1 / 100000), and the equal index of media health science popularization water have all obtained full marks.
