Huang Caiyong, Director of the Blood Development Department of the Central Blood Station, told reporters that in order to ensure the blood needs of Chenzhou during the epidemic and be ready to support the blood use in the epidemic area at any time, the blood collection, inspection, blood development and other departments of the blood station cooperated closely. Since the Spring Festival, the blood inventory has been increased. In previous years, the best blood inventory level of 1600-2000u of erythrocytes has been increased to more than 4500u. After receiving the help call from Wuhan blood center, the blood station prepared the blood in place as soon as possible. The 1000u of suspended leukocyte red blood cells sent to Wuhan this time has past the blood borne disease test and detection of novel coronavirus blood nucleic acids.

 

In order to guarantee the blood demand of fighting for novel coronavirus pneumonia in Wuhan, Chenzhou Central Blood Station has formulated an emergency plan for epidemic prevention and control, and implemented the safeguard measures for clinical blood use. Leaders of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to the approval of the central blood station blood collection vehicles to drive into rural areas for blood collection.
