On the morning of April 7, the first plenary session of the Municipal Commission for Ecological Environment Protection in 2020 and the working conference on promoting urban and rural environmental infrastructure construction of the city were held. Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended and delivered a speech.

The relevant work of the city's ecological environment protection and the drafting instructions of the "work plan on pollution prevention and controlof Chenzhou in 2020", the "task list of "summer offensive in 2020" in Chenzhou", the "detailed rules for assessment of pollution prevention and control in 2020 in Chenzhou City", and the "Key points of ecological environment protection in Chenzhou City in 2020" were reported at the meeting.

At the meeting, the promotion of urban and rural environmental infrastructure construction in the city was also reported; the county and urban governments, the Administrative Committee of the High-tech Zone, the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau, the Municipal Agricultural and Rural Bureau, and the Municipal Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau made statements on the work of ecological environment protection. The assessment results of the battle of pollution prevention and control in 2019 was reported.

At the meeting, the mayor issued a letter to the county heads of Guidong County, Yizhang County, Jiahe County and Linwu County for urban and rural environmental infrastructure construction.
