Recently, Xiao Wenwei, Party member and Deputy Director General of the Provincial Department of Transport, visited Zixing City to investigate the pilot application of new energy ships in Dongjiang Lake. He Zunqing, Vice Mayor of Chenzhou City, Luo Chenghui, Deputy Secretary of Zixing Municipal Party Committee and Mayor participated in relevant activities.

On December 6, 2019, the first LNG powered passenger ship in China made its first successful voyage in Dongjiang Lake. At present, the operation is stable, and the underwater part of the filling station has been completed. It is planned to be put into operation by the end of this year.

At the symposium, Zixing City reported the "Chenzhou new energy ship application work plan" (draft), the participants discussed the plan and put forward suggestions.

Xiao Wenwei stressed that to carry out the application of new energy ships is an important measure to protect the ecological environment of Dongjiang Lake. It is necessary to strengthen the connection of professional fields and strive to overcome technical difficulties; to actively strive for policy support, optimize the approval process and provide financial support; to strengthen communication and cooperation with relevant enterprises, introduce talents and technologies, and ensure that the work is fast and well advanced.
