On the afternoon of May 9, Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, held talks with Chen Xiaohui, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) natural gas sales Hunan branch, conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on natural gas utilization and future development, and reached a consensus on relevant cooperation matters.

CNPC has the advantages of more than 75 percent of the national natural gas supply and more than 80 percent of the national natural gas transmission network. Hunan Branch of CNPC Natural Gas Sales Co., Ltd. will carry out natural gas pipeline planning and layout in accordance with "full coverage and county connections" of the pipeline, and support "Hunan gasification project". At present, the "Hengyang-Yanling" natural gas branch pipeline under construction passes through Anren County, which is expected to be put into operation in June 2021, and Yongxing branch pipeline is in the early stage of the project.

Liu Zhiren briefly introduced the economic and social development of Chenzhou. Liu Zhiren said that Chenzhou is a cultural resort, a treasure land of resources, an important place of transportation, a place of health and welfare, an open highland, and a city full of vitality. At present, Chenzhou is vigorously implementing the strategy of "innovation leading, opening up" and "industry leading, all-round development", and solidly carrying out the work of "three promotion years". It was hoped that the two sides will further expand cooperation areas, deepen cooperation in an all-round way, formulate practical work plans, innovate cooperation modes, and achieve win-win situation for the government, gas supply enterprises and end users. Chenzhou will also provide the best business environment for CNPC in Chenzhou project and fully support the development of CNPC in Chenzhou.

Chen Xiaohui said that the company will give full play to its advantages in resources, talents and technology, strengthen cooperation with Chenzhou, accelerate the construction of natural gas branch pipeline, improve the gas consumption structure, drive the development of the terminal market, and reduce the gas consumption cost of residents and enterprises.
