Sampling Survey of Chenzhou's Domestic Tourism Launched

On the afternoon of May 11, 2020, the sampling survey of Chenzhou's domestic tourism was launched in Dongjiang Lake Scenic Spot of Zixing City, and the investigators from the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism attended the launching ceremony.

At the end of the launching ceremony, the investigators from the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism came to the sampling survey site to communicate with the investigators. Due to the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic situation, this year's domestic travel sample survey work is more difficult. First, compared with the past, the number of tourists has declined significantly, and the number of objects that can be investigated by the investigators of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism is insufficient; second, due to the face-to-face communication of the investigation work, some tourists have defensive psychology for the investigation due to the epidemic situation, so it is difficult to get effective cooperation. The investigators from the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism expressed sincere condolences to the hard-working staff, encouraged them to overcome difficulties, make a good survey plan, do a good job in field survey, do a good job in questionnaire cleaning and other work. At the same time, they asked everyone to do well in self-protection, patiently communicate with tourists, strive for tourists to provide real and effective information and opinions, provide decision-making basis for the development of cultural tourism industry with high-quality survey data, and provide scientific guidance data for cultural tourism service industry enterprises.

 

With the concern and support of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the competent departments of culture, tourism and statistics at all levels, Chenzhou domestic tourism sampling survey team strengthened its investigation and innovated its working methods. From the scientific formulation of the work plan of sampling survey to the scientific selection of survey points, the qualified rate of questionnaire is kept at a high level. The objective and real data reflect the good situation of the sustainable and healthy development of cultural tourism industry in Chenzhou. In 2019, the city received a total of 80.062 million tourists of all kinds, realizing a total tourism revenue of 78.87 billion yuan, an increase of 11.9 percent and 19.7 percent year on year respectively, ranking second and third in the province in terms of tourism reception and total tourism revenue. The total output value of cultural and sports industry is about 32 billion yuan, and the total output value of culture and tourism revenue of the city is 108 billion yuan, breaking the 100 billion yuan mark.
