Recently, Wu Qiang, Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the Ministry of Water Resources, and his delegation came to Chenzhou to investigate the optimal allocation and sustainable utilization of water resources around Chenzhou's construction of the national sustainable development agenda innovation demonstration area. Yi Pengfei, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, participated in the investigation.

The investigation team has conducted field investigation and research in Dongjiang dam, Dongjiang power plant and Xinghong water plant of Dongjiang water diversion project. In the Mangshan reservoir, the investigation team had a detailed understanding of the construction, operation and ecological restoration of the Mangshan reservoir, listened to the report on the enhancement of water resource protection, reservoir management and overall planning of water supply project of the Mangshan reservoir, and understood the main characteristics and advantages of water resources and the comprehensive utilization of water resources in our city.

At the symposium, Wu Qiang, on behalf of the investigation team, fully affirmed the scheduled construction and efficient operation of Mangshan reservoir. Wu Qiang pointed out that in the next step, the subject should closely follow the theme of sustainable development and green development, closely integrate with the actual situation of Chenzhou City, closely focus on the difficulties and pain points in the construction of demonstration area, closely implement the relevant requirements and general directions of the central government on strengthening the construction of ecological civilization, implement the relevant requirements put forward by the provincial Party committee in the construction of demonstration area, and strive to make achievements in the research, continue to play a role, promote the solution of practical problems with innovative ideas, promote the combination of research results and successful practice of the construction of the demonstration area, set a benchmark, make a demonstration, give full play to the advantages of the development research center of the Ministry of Water Resources, focus on the Dongjiang Lake, Mangshan reservoir, and further study the ladder water price, happy river and lake, paid transfer of water rights, property management of water conservancy projects, etc.
