Jiang Zhibin opened a farmhouse beside the Lake Road in Bailong Town. In 2017, through the publicity of the local government and the environmental protection department, he spent 140000 yuan to install a set of sewage purification and treatment facilities on his own. Different from the past three-stage septic tank for sewage treatment, the purification rate of the newly installed equipment can be increased by more than 60 percent, and the orchard and vegetable field can be backflow irrigated through the pipeline, and the sewage becomes the irrigation water source through secondary utilization.

Jiang Zhibin, a farmer in Bailang Town, told reporters that after receiving the notice, he did not hesitate to install the sewage purification and treatment facilities. "Now the highlight of Dongjiang Lake is the water of Dongjiang Lake. There will be more tourists when the water is protected." Jiang Zhibin said.

Last year, Jiang Zhibin received an average of about 200 tourists every day in the rural happy season, with an average daily income of more than 20000 yuan. At present, there are 372 farmhouses around the whole Dongjiang Lake. The farmhouses covered by the sewage pipe network in the town have been connected to the sewage pipes according to the requirements and treated by the township sewage treatment plant. Farmhouses without centralized treatment conditions are also gradually purchasing equipment. It is not only required to achieve zero sewage discharge, but also to install facilities such as fume purification and treatment, so as to further protect the surrounding ecological environment of Dongjiang Lake.
