Recently, the emergency rescue and water transportation pollution prevention drill of Dongjiang Lake in Chenzhou City was held in the water area of Changyingtou Wharf in Dongjiang Lake Reservoir Area. In the actual combat, the subjects of rescue by boat, fire fighting, oil pollution control and removal in water area, rescue and towing of ships on rocks were practiced. The drill lasted 70 minutes, with 25 ships and more than 100 participants.

The drill was organized by Hunan Provincial Water Transportation Affairs Center, Chenzhou Transportation Bureau and Chenzhou Water Transportation Affairs Center, and undertaken by Zixing Transportation Bureau and Zixing Water Transportation Affairs Center.

The drill has improved the emergency rescue organization and command system and emergency disposal capacity of Zixing City, tested the actual combat level of water traffic safety and water transportation pollution prevention emergency plan, and improved the water traffic safety supervision and management ability, which is of great significance to protect the people's water travel safety and protect the water environment in the jurisdiction area.

It was understood that Dongjiang Lake is an important port with the highest navigation density and the largest number of tourists in the province. In recent years, Zixing City has made every effort to create Dongjiang Lake water traffic safety management demonstration area. By establishing and improving the safety responsibility system, strengthening the implementation of safety supervision system, and improving the transportation guarantee capacity, Zixing City has created a safe, smooth, orderly and better pattern of water traffic in Dongjiang Lake. In the past three years, the total investment has reached more than 65.8 million yuan. The first special oil pollution recovery ship in the province has been built. Three most advanced double capacitor environmental protection garbage salvage boats, one cyanobacteria removal ship and grass cutter ship have been equipped. The annual average collection of oil and sewage is 180 tons, and the cleaning of garbage and floating objects in the waterway is more than 100 tons.

Zixing city has officially built the first shore based oil and electricity filling station in China. Up to now, the underwater infrastructure construction has been completed, and the construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
