In order to promote the dissemination and popularization of Chinese excellent traditional culture in schools, improve students' artistic and cultural accomplishment, and carry forward the socialist core values, Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe, in accordance with the overall arrangement of Chenzhou Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau, combined with the creative requirements, orderly carried out the "Opera into Campus" activities in 2020.

From June 19 to July 3, Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe completed 9 performances of "Opera into Campus". The troupe organized the cast members of the whole troupe and set up three small teams to enter the campus. Luo Yan, head of the Kunqu Opera Troupe in Hunan Province, Lei Ling, an actor of Plum Blossom Award, and Liu Jie, an outstanding young actor, led the teams respectively to give lectures and performances for students of different ages.

Kunqu opera classic repertoire "Peony Pavilion · Garden Dream" segment, "Journey to the West · Borrow Fan" segment, the representative drama of the Troupe "Zui Da Shan Men" were staged. Through the combination of "speaking, acting, learning and doing", the actors guided the students to understand Kunqu Opera and feel the charm of traditional culture closely. They gave a cultural feast of Kunqu Opera to more than 2000 primary and secondary school students, and planted the "seeds" of Kunqu Opera in the campus.

Opera is an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture. "Opera into Campus" activities will contribute to the inheritance of traditional culture and has far-reaching significance for improving cultural self-confidence, guiding students to inherit and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
