In recent days, the selling price of 120 mu "sweet watermelon" planted by the village's ecological agriculture professional cooperative has doubled due to its higher sweetness than ordinary watermelon, effectively helping 22 members of the village committees in Liuping, Xishan, Xiaocheng and Dachong to shake off poverty and increase income.

The Changzhuyuan ecological agriculture professional cooperative in Shuidong Town, Linwu County, has more than 120 mu of land. This year, a new variety of "Ganmei watermelon" (commonly known as 4K watermelon) was introduced from other places. Although the watermelon is small, its skin is thin and its flesh is crisp with 15 percent of sweetness. The cooperative has adopted the mode of "base + farmers + poor households". The farmers and poor households have become shareholders in the form of land and labor services. The members of the cooperatives only grow watermelon, and their income reaches more than 10000 yuan.
