The launching ceremony of 2020 National Science and Technology Week and Beijing Science and Technology Week was held in Beijing on the 23rd, with a sub venue in Wuhan, Hubei Province. This year is the 20th anniversary of the National Science and Technology Week. Under the background of the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the contents and forms of the activities are quite different from those in previous years. At this year's national science and technology week and Beijing Science and technology week, the "Cloud Exhibition Hall" was launched for the first time. With the help of VR, 5G and other technologies, the exhibition focuses on China's science and technology fighting with "epidemic", innovation achievements, science and technology benefits the people, poverty alleviation and other aspects, so that the public can experience the charm of science and technology without leaving home.

It was understood that in the coming week, more than 10 major demonstration activities will be held nationwide, including "Night of Science", "Science and Technology Assistance to Tibet", "Science and Technology Train in Huaihua", "Scientific Research Institutions and Universities Opening to the Society" and "National Science Popularization Explanation Competition".
