Action on Salt China Held in Rucheng County

On November 20, Rucheng County Health Bureau organized Quanshui township health center to carry out a publicity campaign of "healthy life starts with salt restriction and oil control" in Quanshui town farmer's market.

 

On the same day, it happened to be a fair in Quanshui town. The farmers' market was full of people. During the activity, the staff and medical staff carried out publicity by hanging banners, pasting posters, accepting consultation and distributing publicity and education materials. According to statistics, more than 800 people were consulted and more than 1200 publicity materials were distributed. The educated residents all said that the activities were well held, and there were more salt and oil in common. Through this health consultation activity, the masses understood the importance of reducing salt and controlling oil on the body.

 

This activity enabled the general public to re understand the harm of excessive intake of salt and edible oil, what is high salt food and classification, as well as the life skills of reducing salt and controlling oil, and promote a healthy lifestyle to effectively prevent the occurrence of hypertension, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

 

It was reported that the ASC (Action on Salt China) is carried out in six provinces (Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Hebei, Hunan, Qinghai and Sichuan) by several domestic and foreign health research and chronic disease prevention and control institutions, including China Center for Disease Control and prevention, China Health Education Center, National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, George Global Health Institute and Queen Mary University in London. The purpose of this activity is to explore operable salt assessment methods, implement and popularize comprehensive intervention measures of salt reduction, effectively reduce the salt intake of residents and improve the health literacy level of salt reduction. The specific contents include HIS, AIS, RIS and CIS.
