Chenzhou Airport is one of the 30 new airport projects that the State Civil Aviation Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission have incorporated into the national civil airport "12th Five-Year Plan" construction plan. It was started in 2016 and is operated and managed by the local government and implemented by the Civil Aviation Administration. Chenzhou Airport, located in Beihu District, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, is positioned as a domestic tourism feeder airport. It plans to open routes from Chenzhou to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Zhangjiajie, Kunming, Xi'an, Nanning, Fuzhou and other places. It is conservatively estimated that the annual passenger throughput will reach 410,000 person times by 2030.
The pre feasibility study report of Beihu Airport project covers an area of 2894 mu and is planned and constructed according to 4C standard. The airport runway is 2600 meters long and 45 meters wide, with a total investment of about 2 billion yuan. The Airport Avenue is about 1772 meters long, which is designed according to the standard of urban trunk road. The width of red line is 50 meters, and the total investment is estimated to be 270 million yuan.
