On December 1, 2020 Hunan · Linwu Third Gem & Jade Cultural Tourism Festival, with the theme of "dragon rising and meeting jade in Linwu" as the theme, opened. The festival attracted hundreds of jewelry and jade exhibitors, buyers and tourists from all over the country to gather in Linwu.

Linwu County is the only county producing jade in Hunan Province. The national treasure "Xianghua Stone" is unique in the world. The quality of "Tongtian Jade", "Xianghua Jade" and "Shunlong Jade" is of high quality. Fluorite, crystal, calcite and other mineral crystals are wonderful and magical. "Tongtian Jade" is listed in the national gem list, and the local standard of Tongtian Jade becomes the first local standard of jade in Hunan Province. In recent years, Chenzhou has implemented the strategy of "innovation leading, opening up and rising" and "industry leading and comprehensive development". It has meticulously built high-quality exhibition and mineral gemstone industry as one of the five pillar industries. It has made great efforts to build Chenzhou into an international mineral gem production and processing base, a research and development innovation base, and a world-famous trading center for mineral gems and rare and precious metals, to build the mineral gem industry into a new industry of 100 billion yuan in Chenzhou, and to make the "China (Hunan) International Mineral Gem Expo" the grand goal of international famous mineral gem festival, which is side by side with Tucson of the United States and Munich of Germany.

It was hoped that Linwu County Party Committee and government will further emancipate their minds, seize development opportunities, protect, develop and utilize precious jade resources in a scientific and reasonable way, achieve new breakthroughs in the extension of mineral gem industry chain, quality improvement, value-added improvement and sustainable development, revitalize tourism cultural resources, and strive to build Linwu Gem Cultural Industrial Park into a well-known jewelry and jade distribution center and special tourist attractions.
