On the afternoon of December 3, the preparatory work scheduling meeting of the 8th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (hereinafter referred to as the 8th Mineral & Gem Expo) was held. Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, stressed that we should focus on "openness, innovation, safety, order, effectiveness, and brilliance" to promote all kinds of work, ensure the success of the 8th Mineral & Gem Expo, and constantly enhance the vitality, influence and competitiveness of the Expo.

At the meeting, they heard about the overall preparation of the 8th Mineral & Gem Expo, the "Cloud" construction of the Expo and the comprehensive coordination of the 8th Expo. The 8th Mineral & Gem Expo will be held from December 18 to 22. At present, the preparatory work is progressing in an orderly manner.

Liu Zhiren pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen overall planning and promote the integration of continuity, sustainability and effectiveness of the Expo; to maintain the continuity, further improve the standing position, deepen the understanding, base on the reality and take a long-term view, unswervingly make the Expo unique and effective, and create a "never ending mine Expo"; to promote the sustainability, actively adapt to the new requirements of the exhibition development under the new situation, and strive to explore and implement the exhibition operation mechanism of "government led, market main body, enterprise operation" to accelerate the market-oriented transformation and development of the Expo, maintain and enhance the tenacious vitality, brand influence, industrial driving force and market competitiveness of the Expo; to ensure its effectiveness, create its own stage for the development of Chenzhou, expand its own industry, enhance its own stamina, promote its high-quality development, and constantly improve its political, economic and social benefits through the holding of the Expo.

Liu Zhiren demanded that we should vigorously develop industries and promote the deep integration of exhibition economy, digital economy and open economy; should build the Expo into a comprehensive, authoritative and international public platform integrating mineral gemstone exhibition, conference, science popularization, identification, trading, customs clearance, taxation, mining, mining machinery, cultural tourism promotion and other services; should comply with the situation and wisdom, actively integrate digital economy, further promote the deep integration of digital economy and real economy, organically combine with exhibition economy, and promote the development and growth of "online display, online exchange and online trade"; should expand the effect of pattern amplification, actively expand the open economy, built the exhibition center into the exhibition hall, reception hall and trade hall of Chenzhou Area of Hunan Free Trade Zone, relying on gemstone industry and effectively combining with the construction of Chenzhou Area of Hunan Free Trade Zone.

Liu Zhiren required that we should pay attention to collaborative scheduling and promote the strength of the organizers, coordinators and service providers to be closely united; should strengthen the overall situation consciousness, should not loose our thoughts, responsibilities and measures; should not only assign special personnel to implement them according to their functions and responsibilities, but also adhere to overall planning and coordination, strengthen coordination and cooperation, so as to achieve smooth communication and timely work feedback, ensure the timely completion of various tasks in accordance with the quality and quantity, and ensure the success of the 8th Expo.
