On the morning of December 3, 2020 Hunan (Chenzhou) Vegetable and Fruit Industry Expo opened in Chenzhou Sports Center. 38 key agricultural investment projects were signed on site with a total amount of 16.794 billion yuan. Sui Zhongcheng, Vice Governor of the Provincial Government, Yi Pengfei, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, Ou Yanghuang, Deputy Secretary General of the Provincial Government, and Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the related activities.

The forerunner of this year'sVegetable and Fruit Industry Expo is an Agricultural Expo that has been held for five times, with the theme of "joining hands with Xiangjiangyuan and entering the Greater Bay Area". It aims to make a brand name card of Chenzhou's own vegetables and fruits in a higher position, a higher level and a higher standard, and to build an exchange platform for agricultural products trade and agricultural foreign cooperation between "Xiangjiangyuan" vegetables and Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area.

The exhibition area of 2020 Hunan (Chenzhou) Vegetable and Fruit Industry Expo in Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is about 48000 square meters. It highlights the elements of vegetables and fruits and shows the achievements of industrial development. It has set up 12 exhibition booths of the "Xiangjiangyuan" boutique vegetable exhibition area, Chenzhou county (city, district) theme exhibition area, Chenzhou city vegetable and fruit enterprise image exhibition area, "Chenzhou flavor" food production area, "one town, one product" theme exhibition area, poverty alleviation exhibition area, Chenzhou enterprise exhibition area, national famous fruits and vegetables exhibition area, traditional fruits and vegetables processing products exhibition area, and modern agricultural machinery equipment exhibition area, 19 theme image halls, 26 enterprise special booths and 1215 standard booths. A total of 851 enterprises participated in the exhibition, including 512 enterprises in the city, 90 enterprises in other cities and prefectures in the province, and 249 enterprises outside the province (Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area), involving nearly 10000 kinds of agricultural products in the fields of fresh vegetables and fruits, food processing, cold chain logistics, agricultural science and technology, agricultural machinery and equipment, etc.

At the opening ceremony, high-quality agricultural products such as Rucheng Chaotian pepper, Linwu taro, Chenzhou citrus, Yongzhou vegetables, Zhuzhou Sanmen meat wax gourd, Huaihua Qianyang candy orange, Changde kiwi fruit, Hengyang day lily, etc. were introduced as agricultural brands loved by consumers in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area.
