On December 4, the 2020 Annual Hunan Urban and Rural Planning Conference was held in Chenzhou. The theme of the annual meeting was "red inheritance and green development". Relevant leaders of the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and the Provincial Science and Technology Association, member representatives and senior experts of the Provincial Urban and Rural Planning Society participated in the event. Vice Mayor Li Wuyi delivered a speech.

The annual meeting of Urban and Rural Planning was hosted by Chenzhou Institute of Urban Planning. Before the meeting, participants also visited Yanshou Village and Shazhou Village of Rucheng County to review the touching story of "half quilt".

At the meeting, Tang Fanghua, Chairman of the Provincial Urban and Rural Planning Society and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hunan City University, made a report on the work of the society and elaborated the work plan for 2021. The meeting reported the award list of excellent design award for urban and rural planning of Hunan Province in 2019 and excellent planning papers of Hunan Province in 2020, and commended the advanced units and excellent planning scientific and technological workers of urban and rural planning in Hunan Province to help poverty alleviation. On the same day, advanced units and outstanding workers had an exchange of experience; Zhan Qingming, Professor of Wuhan University, Peng Zhen, Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Fu Lide, Secretary of the General Party Branch and Vice President of the Municipal Institute of Urban Planning and Design, also gave academic lectures.

This year, the Provincial Urban and Rural Planning Society Based on its own duty, focusing on the industry, pioneering and enterprising, has better completed the task, has been recognized by the competent business departments and the majority of member units, the society has been rated as the first batch of "ten thousand" demonstration social organizations in Hunan Province, and the Party branch of the society has been rated as the provincial advanced grass-roots Party organization.
