On December 7, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a list of 60 national green data centers in five fields in 2020. Dongjiang Lake Big Data Center of our city, as one of the 13 data centers in the Internet field, was listed among them.

Dongjiang Lake Big Data Center is located in the beautiful Dongjiang Lake of Zixing City. High quality cold water resources are the unique advantages and support that Zixing can not replicate in developing big data industry. Dongjiang Lake covers an area of 160 square kilometers and has a water storage capacity of 8.12 billion cubic meters. At least 1.5 billion cubic meters of clean cold water at 5-13 ℃ flows through Dongjiang big data center every year, which can provide at least 200,000 racks and more than 5 million servers with continuous and stable cooling.

Since the operation of the center, the pue value (energy efficiency index) has been maintained between 1.05 and 1.16, saving more than 50 million kwh of electricity annually. Due to the use of natural cooling source in Dongjiang Lake, the energy consumption and operation cost of the center have been reduced by about 40 percent. The annual power consumption of 200000 racks under full load is 5 billion kwh, equivalent to 1.77 million tons of standard coal and 5.52 million tons of carbon dioxide emission. It is the most green and energy-saving data center in China.

Dongjiang Lake Big Data center has also been approved as the disaster recovery center of Hunan e-government external network unified cloud platform, Hunan Big Data Industrial Park and Hunan New Industrialization (Big Data) Demonstration Base. At present, more than 50 companies, including China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Eason, Aishu, Taobao, Wangsu Technology, Provincial E-government Cloud, and Bank of Changsha have settled in, with a total investment of 28 billion yuan. The provincial E-government external network unified cloud platform remote disaster recovery base and provincial natural resources geographic information, Changsha municipal government affairs cloud and police cloud have been settled in succession, and the rudiment of provincial government data gathering base has been basically formed.

The center is A-level Data Center certified by the National Quality Certification Center (CQC) and the only A-level data center in Hunan Province. Zixing city has also established the only Dongjiang Lake big data industry development promotion center in Hunan Province.

It can be said that Dongjiang Lake Big Data Center has won this honor after a strict investigation of five passes and six generals. Dongjiang Big Data Center strictly complies with the general office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the general office of the development and Reform Commission, the general office of the Ministry of Commerce, the office of the State Administration, and the general office of the Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. According to the requirements of the notice of the comprehensive Department of the energy administration on organizing and carrying out the recommendation work of the national green data center (2020), the system has been strictly tested by the links and standards of self-evaluation, third-party evaluation, preferential recommendation by provincial industrial and information departments, data review, etc. Finally, Dongjiang Big Data Center stood out from many of the first batch of pilot national data centers and won the title of "National Green Data Center".
