At 9:04 on January 17, the wind power output of Chenzhou Power Grid reached a record high of 1178.28 MW. During the period from 00:51 to 07:40 on the same day, Chenzhou Power Grid for the first time realized the continuous power supply of clean energy for 409 minutes. The total power generation of clean energy was 22.92 million kwh, equivalent to reducing 9166 tons of coal and 24000 tons of carbon dioxide.

At 9:04 on January 17, the wind power output of Chenzhou Power Grid reached a record high of 1178.28 MW.

By the end of 2020, there are 637 clean energy installed units in Chenzhou Power Grid, with a total installed capacity of 3148.22 MW, accounting for 96.34 percent of the total installed capacity. Among them, there are 22 wind farms, with a grid connected capacity of 1715.1 MW, accounting for 54.48 percent of the total installed clean energy capacity. For the first time, wind power has exceeded the scale of hydropower and become the largest power source in Chenzhou Power Grid, which is of great significance to promote energy conservation, emission reduction and green development in the whole province.

It was reported that in order to effectively improve the efficiency of clean energy utilization, State Grid Chenzhou Power Supply Company has continuously deepened the wind, water and light forecast, real-time tracked the power grid section and clean energy grid connected trend, timely adjusted the operation mode, coordinated the best matching of all kinds of energy in each period, and ensured the priority adjustment of clean energy; made overall arrangement of maintenance production plan, adopted temporary transition scheme, ensured the coordination arrangement of wind and water transmission channel, power grid and power plant maintenance, and avoided the loss of clean energy; regularly organized each clean energy power plant to carry out systematic learning and training, visit various power plants for technical guidance, continuously optimized the system access scheme, improved the secondary protection and safe and stable automatic device configuration, solved the practical difficulties such as on-site ice melting, and improved the professional quality of on-site professionals. In 2020, the wind and solar power generation capacity of Chenzhou Power Grid reached 2.671 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 22.6 percent, and the power generation capacity of small hydropower increased by 11.44 percent.

With the sustainable development of clean energy, it was expected that the installed capacity of clean energy in Chenzhou Power Grid will reach 2400mw by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan.
