Forest protection and fire prevention publicity
With the coming of winter drought, the situation of forest fire prevention is becoming more and more serious. In order to reduce the risk of fire accidents, Linwu County Urban Management Bureau planned ahead of time and took active actions to comprehensively carry out the investigation and rectification of fire risk hidden points in various parks and build a "safety wall" for forest fire prevention in winter.
In view of the situation of more litter in winter, Linwu County Urban Management Bureau has organized garden and environmental sanitation workers to clear weeds in Huifeng Park, Shaxi Lake Park and Tanhua Park since January 17, and prune and clean inflammable green plants to eliminate fire risk. After three days of work, nearly 60 medium-sized trucks of weeds and dead branches were cleared, which effectively reduced the probability of occurrence and spread of mountain fire.
At the same time, in order to reduce the occurrence of forest spontaneous combustion, Linwu Urban Management Bureau also increased the frequency of cleaning operations, cleaned and transported the dead branches and leaves in roads, squares and parks in time, sent out sprinkler trucks to spray water and humidify the green plants along the urban roads, and erected 40 warning signs of "forest fire prevention" at each point of the park. During this period, since the beginning of winter, the Bureau has also actively cooperated with fire fighting operations, deployed sprinkler trucks to participate in the fire fighting for a total of 14 times, sparing no effort to protect forest safety.
According to statistics, in 2020, the urban green space rate of Linwu County reached 41.3 percent, and the per capita park green space area reached 14.16 square meters, which was significantly higher than that in 2019.
