From February 2 to 3, the military civil aviation review meeting for the formal design of Beihu Airport flight procedure was held in Chenzhou. The meeting was jointly held by the Central South Regional Administration of Civil Aviation and the Air Force Staff Department of the Southern Theater. Representatives from relevant military units, Central South Air Traffic Control Bureau, Hunan Air Traffic Control Branch of Civil Aviation, Hunan Supervision Bureau of Civil Aviation, Hunan Airport Group, Hunan Branch of China Southern Airlines, design units, construction and operation units, and civil aviation experts attended the meeting. Liang Chenggu, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor, delivered a speech.

The planning land of Beihu Airport project is 3100 mu, the estimated investment is 2.13 billion yuan, the grade index of flight area is 4C, the runway is 2600 meters, and the terminal area is designed to meet the target of passenger throughput of 550000 person times, cargo throughput of 3000 tons, and aircraft takeoff and landing of 7300 sorties in 2025. Up to now, the main project of the airport has been completed.

At the meeting, the relevant units reported the airspace and flight procedure design report, ground verification report, check list comparison, inspection situation, follow-up simulator, on-site verification flight test and other work plans; civil aviation experts and representatives attended the meeting and made speeches.

Liang Chenggu pointed out that the formal design review of Beihu Airport flight procedure is the "high school entrance examination" of airport project construction, marking the full start of Beihu Airport navigation preparation. The construction units and operation units should further strengthen the coordination and cooperation with all aspects, steadily promote the work before the airport navigation operation according to the opinions and suggestions put forward by the leaders and experts attending the meeting, strive for the Beihu Airport to take off and operate as soon as possible, promote the development of Chenzhou, and benefit the people of the old revolutionary base areas in southern Hunan.
