Recently, the city's urban and rural residents' insurance work ranked first in the province's 2020 annual evaluation, and won the provincial 2020 excellent unit to guide the management and service of urban and rural residents' insurance. This is the eighth year in a row that Chenzhou City has won this award.

By the end of 2020, the number of urban and rural residents in the city has reached 2.5243 million, including 97000 new residents in the special action of urban and rural residents protection coverage in 2020, with 100 percent participation rate of those who meet the insurance conditions and have the willingness to participate in the insurance; 668300 people over the age of 60 have received treatment, with the annual pension of 1.046 billion yuan, and the monthly per capita pension level of 130.5 yuan. The timely and full payment rate of pension and the socialized payment rate have always been 100 percent.
