This is a discussion of theory and practice, an exchange of thinking and wisdom. Recently, Chenzhou Intermediate People's Court held the first seminar on "judge reading code" (general provisions of the Civil Code).

Wang Yutian, Secretary of the Party Group and President of the Chenzhou Intermediate People's Court, attended the activity and delivered a speech. Nearly 40 people, including judges and judge assistants in the civil trial field of the two level courts, attended the activity. "judge reading code" is one of the series activities of Chenzhou Intermediate People's Court to "implement the civil code". It aims to provide a platform for civil judges of two levels of courts to study the civil code, deeply discuss the difficulties and problems existing in the implementation of the civil code, exchange civil trial experience, and unify the concept and standard of civil case judgment.

At the meeting, participants had in-depth discussions on the hot issues related to the implementation of the general provisions of the civil code and some practical issues of civil trial. The leaders of Chenzhou Intermediate People's Court in charge of civil trial and the persons in charge of civil trial courts answered the corresponding business issues on the spot. The meeting also conveyed the adjudication rules and ideas of the cases of infringement of the rights and interests of members of collective economic organizations and other cases studied and determined by the trial committee of Chenzhou Intermediate People's Court.

Wang Yutian stressed that we should fully understand the great significance of studying and implementing the civil code, and thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping in the collective learning of the Central Political Bureau in the "practical implementation of the civil code", and implement the idea of "Xi Jinping" in the trial execution of civil cases.

All county (city, district) courts should actively carry out activities related to "practical implementation of the civil code" in accordance with the standards of higher courts, so as to ensure the study, understanding and implementation, and set off an upsurge of study and implementation of the civil code again. We should comprehensively improve the quality, efficiency and credibility of civil trials by studying and implementing the civil code; should continue to optimize the learning and exchange platform, and build the "judge reading code" seminar and "judge speaking code" law popularization activities into brand activities, so as to further enhance the practicability and influence.

After the meeting, participants said that the seminar was novel in form and of great significance. It built an exchange platform for the two levels of courts to unify the standards and concepts of adjudication, and was an important measure to realize "same case with same judgment, similar case with similar judgment". They looked forward to carrying out similar activities in the future.
